Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Tennessee Speech-Language Pathologist license (TN SLP)
- Master’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) strongly preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) candidates welcome
- Background working with pediatric populations, particularly within educational settings
- Proficient in a range of assessment tools and intervention strategies tailored to diverse student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention for students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student on your caseload, monitoring progress and updates as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and families to integrate best practices in communication support
- Maintain accurate student records and prepare reports following district and state protocols
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all students
