Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Gilroy, CA

Qualifications:

• Active CA SLP License required
• Experience working with students with special education needs
• Skilled in assessment, evaluation, and providing consultative services
• Ability to foster professional, positive relationships with staff, students, and families
• Knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and disability categories
• Training or background in early learning or atypical impairments is a plus
• Excellent organization, planning, and communication skills—active listening essential
• Previous school-based experience preferred

Responsibilities:

• Screen and evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication needs
• Work directly with students to implement effective interventions supporting academic and personal growth
• Serve on a multidisciplinary team, interpreting and presenting assessment data for IEP planning
• Advise and consult with teaching staff and families to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate in classroom and community program development for students with speech and language needs
