This full-time contract position is based in the beautiful Half Moon Bay area, surrounded by coastal views and a supportive school environment. Multiple positions are available to meet diverse student needs across preschool, elementary, and middle school settings.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching credential (mild/moderate or moderate/severe authorization preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience teaching students with moderate to severe disabilities
  • Proficiency in differentiated instruction, lesson planning, and data collection
  • Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for fostering a positive, inclusive classroom culture

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead instruction in either preschool, elementary, or middle school moderate-severe special education classrooms as assigned
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Modify curriculum and classroom strategies to accommodate varied learning needs
  • Track student progress and adjust supports as needed
  • Partner with related service providers (e.g., SLPs, OTs) to ensure well-rounded support
  • Engage in regular professional development and staff meetings
