Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Active CA SLP License required
- School experience and familiarity with K–12 settings strongly preferred
- Background in assessment, evaluation, and consultation within special education frameworks
- Commitment to working with students with a variety of needs and their families
- Comprehensive knowledge of the special education process and disability categories; expertise in early learning or atypical impairments a plus
- Excellent interpersonal communication, including the ability to foster positive relationships and a joyful, supportive workspace
- Proficiency in planning and organizing all phases of special education identification and intervention
Key Responsibilities:
- Consult and advise school personnel regarding diagnosis and remediation for students
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments of students’ speech, language, and related developmental areas
- Serve as a core member of the multidisciplinary team, contributing insights for IEP planning and student support
- Foster open communication among families, staff, and agencies tracking student growth
- Deliver direct therapy and collaborate on effective language programming for children with speech and language impairments
