Make a difference in students’ lives by providing individualized speech and language therapy in a vibrant educational setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract role involves collaborating with the Director of Special Education to deliver comprehensive SLP services across three sites, primarily supporting elementary students with some high school caseload. As an integral part of the special education team, you’ll offer assessment, intervention, and consultative support while fostering an encouraging, inclusive atmosphere.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold an active WA SLP License.
  • Possess CCC or CFY eligibility.
  • Background in pediatric, healthcare, or school-based SLP settings, with prior school experience preferred.
  • Skilled in assessments, IEP-driven service delivery, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of special education processes, procedures, and disability categories, with expertise in early learning and atypical impairments valued.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to infuse positivity and humor into daily interactions.
  • Commitment to serving students with special needs and their families.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations in accordance with special education requirements.
  • Deliver IEP-determined direct and indirect SLP services, managing a varied caseload of mostly elementary and some high school students.
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and community partners.
  • Maintain all documentation and compliance related to therapy services and special education laws.
  • Stay current on best practices and district initiatives in speech-language pathology.
  • Build supportive, professional relationships within the education community.
