Make an impact this school year by supporting elementary students as a Speech Language Pathologist in a dynamic, in-person school setting for the 2025-2026 academic year. In this full-time contract role, you’ll collaborate closely with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver individualized speech and language assessments and therapy, helping children improve their communication and achieve academic and personal success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Virginia SLP License required
  • Demonstrated experience working with students who have special education needs, ideally in a school environment
  • Background in speech/language assessment, evaluation, and consultation
  • Positive, collaborative communication skills and a knack for infusing fun and lightheartedness into daily work
  • Strong understanding of special education processes, procedures, and varied disability categories
  • Experience or specialty in early learning and atypical impairments is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Provide critical consultative and advisory services to educational staff on speech and language diagnosis and remediation
  • Conduct screenings and evaluations for students referred to special education, focusing on language, articulation, and normal language development
  • Collaborate as part of the multidisciplinary team, contributing insights for IEP planning and review
  • Maintain open communication with staff, families, and healthcare partners to monitor students’ progress
  • Implement direct therapy for students with speech/language impairments in ways that foster academic and personal growth
  • Guide classroom staff in developing effective language programs and strategies

This role offers consistent Monday-Friday hours, starting August 13th, 2025, and continuing through May 21st, 2026, with guaranteed weekly hours and opportunities for eligible travel stipends. Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401k are available for qualified candidates.
