Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Pathologist - King George, Virginia

What We’re Looking For:

• Active VA SLP License
• Prior experience in a school setting preferred; willingness to work with elementary students is essential
• Familiarity with the special education process, including assessment, evaluation, and consultation
• Skilled in developing and maintaining positive relationships with students, families, staff, and community partners
• Knowledge of speech and language development, disability categories, and IEP planning
• Strong communication abilities, including effective listening and two-way dialogue
• A spirit of creativity, enthusiasm, and a lighthearted approach that brings joy to your work environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations in speech, language, and articulation for students referred to special education
• Participate as a valued member of the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement IEPs
• Provide direct therapy and consultative services to help students thrive in classroom and community settings
• Offer guidance to teachers and staff on supporting language development
• Maintain clear and collaborative communication with educators, families, and health agencies
• Track student progress, adjusting interventions as needed for optimal outcomes
