Apply NowStep into a dynamic school-based setting where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist will make a meaningful impact on students from pre-kindergarten through 5th grade. This contract opportunity allows you to support a diverse pediatric population within an encouraging, collaborative environment. Each workday spans from 7:45 am to 4:30 pm, providing you a predictable 7.75-hour daily schedule plus a 30-minute duty-free lunch, totaling 38.75 hours per week.
Your specialized skills will help shape positive communication outcomes, working directly with students and partnering closely with educators and families. The team is eager for a motivated SLP–unfortunately, additional SLPAs cannot be accommodated for this placement.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility in California
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or clinical fellowship year (CFY) status accepted
- Experience with pediatric/elementary school caseloads preferred
- Comfort managing a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and provide direct therapy
- Consult with teachers and parents to support students’ speech and language goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain thorough documentation
- Utilize a range of therapy techniques tailored to individual student needs
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute ideas to a team setting
