Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state SLP license, or eligibility for Florida licensure
- CCC-SLP certification (Clinical Certificate of Competence) or strong CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) candidates considered
- Experience working in school settings preferred; new graduates with a passion for pediatrics welcome
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized tools
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions that foster skill development and confidence
- Collaborate with educators and families to integrate therapy strategies across daily activities
- Monitor student progress, documenting outcomes and preparing required reports
- Attend IEP meetings and participate in interdisciplinary team discussions
- Stay current with best practices in school-based speech therapy interventions
