Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Therapist in Port Orange, FL

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid state SLP license, or eligibility for Florida licensure
• CCC-SLP certification (Clinical Certificate of Competence) or strong CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year) candidates considered
• Experience working in school settings preferred; new graduates with a passion for pediatrics welcome
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to adapt therapy plans to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ speech, language, and communication abilities using standardized tools
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans and IEP goals
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions that foster skill development and confidence
• Collaborate with educators and families to integrate therapy strategies across daily activities
• Monitor student progress, documenting outcomes and preparing required reports
• Attend IEP meetings and participate in interdisciplinary team discussions
• Stay current with best practices in school-based speech therapy interventions
