Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist. Your expertise will make a real difference as you provide individualized assessment and therapy, helping students succeed academically and socially.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Director of Special Education, covering mostly elementary students and a few high schoolers across three sites. Fulfill IEP-determined services, and contribute positively alongside dedicated school staff, students, and families. With 35-38 hours per week, you’ll enjoy a structured schedule and the chance to build meaningful connections.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Washington SLP license (CFYs welcome)
  • Strong background in pediatric therapy and school-based interventions
  • Commitment to working with students with special education needs and their families
  • Skilled in assessment, evaluation, and providing consultative services
  • Previous experience in school settings preferred
  • Knowledge of all phases of the special education process and disability categories
  • Ability to infuse joy, creativity, and collaboration into therapy sessions
  • Excellent communication skills: active listening, relationship-building, and professionalism

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized speech and language therapy as outlined in each student’s IEP
  • Conduct assessments and evaluate student progress
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
  • Adapt and modify approaches for students with unique needs, including early learning and atypical impairments
