A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year in Sacramento, CA. This contract role involves providing in-person services primarily to elementary students within a school setting. The SLP will report to the Director of Special Education and will support individualized speech and language assessment and therapy, along with staff consultation and support.

Duration: ASAP start through June 2026

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language screenings, assessments, and evaluations for students referred for special education services.
  • Collaborate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to develop, implement, and interpret IEP plans related to speech and language functioning.
  • Provide consultative services and ongoing communication with school personnel, families, and healthcare providers to monitor student progress.
  • Deliver direct therapy to students with speech and language impairments, facilitating their communication skills for personal and academic growth.
  • Assist educational staff in developing appropriate language programs within classroom and community settings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active California SLP License.
  • Experience and training in assessment, evaluation, and consultation for students with special education needs.
  • Understanding of special education processes, disability categories, and related procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, staff, and community partners.
  • Ability to bring lightheartedness and a positive attitude to the workplace.
