Step into a meaningful role supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist for the 2025-2026 academic year. You'll have the chance to make a difference at the elementary, middle, or high school level—or across K-12 assignments—depending on your skills and interests. This is a full-time, in-person, school-based position, reporting directly to the Director of Special Education and operating Monday through Friday.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold an active CA licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Clinical expertise in SLP-CCC, SLP-Healthcare, SLP-Pediatrics, SLP-Teletherapy, SLP-CFY, SLPA-School or SLPA-Healthcare is highly desirable
  • School-based experience is preferred
  • Deep commitment to working with students with special needs and their families
  • Familiarity with special education processes, assessments, and disability categories (specialized experience with early learning/atypical impairments is a plus)
  • Skilled in assessment, evaluation, consultation, and efficient organization of special education identification phases
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills—with a spirit of fun and optimism

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver consultative and advisory services to school staff on the diagnosis and remediation of speech and language concerns
  • Conduct evaluations, screenings, and assessments for students referred to special education
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to contribute assessment data and help develop student-specific IEPs
  • Collaborate with families, staff, and healthcare providers to track student progress and support ongoing development
  • Provide direct, individualized intervention to students to facilitate academic and personal communication growth
  • Partner with general and special education staff to deliver effective language programming in classroom and community environments
