Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Pathologist - San Carlos, California

Ideal background and experience:

• Active California Speech-Language Pathology License (CA SLP)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) strongly preferred
• Proven experience working within school-based settings, especially ESY or summer programs
• Pediatric caseload familiarity and the ability to adapt therapy to elementary and/or secondary students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with educators and families
• Understanding of IEP processes, goal development, and progress documentation
• Dedication to culturally responsive and inclusive practices

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs during the ESY period
• Assess, diagnose, and plan interventions for various speech, language, and communication disorders
• Work directly with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure continuity of care and carryover of strategies
• Maintain timely and accurate paperwork, documentation, and progress reports
• Participate actively in team meetings to discuss student progress and adjust goals as needed
