You’ll provide direct therapy, evaluations, and consultations, utilizing your skills to help students achieve meaningful communication progress throughout the ESY term. Your dedication to evidence-based practices and your commitment to student success will be at the heart of your work.
Qualifications and Background:
- Active California SLP license (CA SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
- Experience in school-based therapy, pediatric speech-language therapy, and knowledge of IEP processes
- Proficiency in delivering services in compliance with IDEA and state guidelines
- Prior ESY experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments tailored to student needs
- Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver individual and small group therapy sessions for students K-12 during ESY
- Maintain detailed records and progress notes in accordance with district standards
- Consult regularly with teachers, staff, and families to support generalization of skills
- Participate actively in eligibility and IEP meetings
