Make an impact during the 2025-2026 school year by supporting students’ communication and developmental needs. A contract opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to work in person with elementary students, reporting to the Director of Special Education. The position runs from August 13th, 2025, through May 21st, 2026, and offers a full-time Monday through Friday schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Active Virginia SLP license required
  • Experience working with students in school settings preferred
  • SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, and SLPA welcomed to apply
  • Background in pediatric therapy and healthcare environments beneficial
  • Strong foundation in assessment, evaluation, and consultation practices
  • Demonstrated passion for serving students with special education needs and families
  • Comfortable incorporating lightheartedness and positive energy into therapy sessions
  • Proficient in special education processes, disability categories, and early learning needs
  • Solid organizational and planning skills with the ability to work collaboratively
  • Effective communicator—adept at active listening and two-way communication

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized speech and language assessment and therapy services to elementary students
  • Offer consultative support and advisory services to staff within multiple districts
  • Conduct screenings and evaluations in all areas of speech, language, and audition
  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to inform IEP development and planning
  • Maintain ongoing communication with staff, families, and healthcare partners to monitor student progress
  • Support classroom staff in establishing effective language programs and strategies
