Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Therapist - Stafford, VA

Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting their communication and academic growth as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time, Monday through Friday contract position offers you the chance to deliver in-person therapy and consultation services to elementary-aged students in a collaborative school environment. You’ll partner closely with the Director of Special Education and join a supportive team working to create an inclusive, empowering educational experience for all learners.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and active VA SLP license required
• Experience or training in assessment, evaluation, and consultation for students with special education needs
• Knowledge of all phases of the special education process, as well as disability categories; early learning or atypical impairment expertise is a plus
• Outstanding interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with staff, students, families, and community partners
• Enthusiasm for bringing creativity and lightheartedness to your therapy sessions
• Proficiency in planning and implementing special education identification and services
• Ability to communicate effectively—active listening and clear, two-way communication are essential
• Previous school-based experience highly preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings and in-depth assessments of students' speech and language needs
• Deliver individualized and group therapy to help students achieve their personal and academic communication goals
• Consult and collaborate with school staff, families, and other stakeholders, and participate in IEP planning as a vital member of the multidisciplinary team
• Maintain documentation and ongoing communication about student progress
• Assist staff with development and implementation of effective language programs
