Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Steger, IL

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid Illinois SLP license required
• CCC-SLP accreditation from ASHA preferred; new Clinical Fellows are also welcome to apply
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) preferred or eligibility for one
• Experience with the school-based population highly desired
• Skilled in evaluation, IEP development, and delivering individualized interventions
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities with staff, students, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to a diverse caseload of students
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations, interpreting results for educational teams
• Develop and update IEPs in compliance with state and district policies
• Partner closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
• Accurately document services, progress, and communication in accordance with guidelines
• Offer professional guidance and education to staff and families regarding communication needs
