Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Tacoma, Washington

This contract role is perfect for a skilled SLP who is passionate about helping students overcome communication barriers, and who enjoys dynamic workdays across both elementary and middle school settings.

You’ll participate in a training day prior to the school year, then provide essential speech and language services from early September through the end of the school year. Workdays are Monday through Friday, with a schedule totaling approximately 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certification (CFY and CCCs welcome)
• Experience or interest in pediatric and K-12 school-based speech therapy
• Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders in children
• Previous school or educational setting experience preferred
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaborative abilities
• Comfortable working across both elementary and middle school populations
• SLPA’s and virtual candidates will not be considered for this role

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and identify speech and language disorders among students
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Deliver direct therapy services in classroom and small group settings
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student success plans
• Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress

$2,490 - $2,678/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 38 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
