Step into a contract opportunity where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist can make a significant difference in the lives of elementary students. Work closely with a diverse population of pre-kindergarten through 5th grade learners, providing essential speech and language support in an engaging educational setting. Your schedule will follow a school-day routine, with a daily commitment from 7:45am to 4:30pm, including a 30-minute duty-free lunch, totaling 38.75 hours per week. This position is available only to qualified SLPs and is not open to assistants.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
  • California state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Background working with pediatric and school-based populations
  • Experience developing and implementing therapy plans for PK-5th grade students
  • Knowledge of IEP processes, assessments, and documentation standards in school settings
  • Ability to collaborate well with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for elementary-aged students
  • Develop individualized treatment plans focused on student goals and educational requirements
  • Deliver targeted therapy sessions, both group and individual, during designated school hours
  • Document progress, maintain records, and actively participate in IEP meetings
  • Offer consultation to classroom teachers and provide support strategies to maximize student success
  • Communicate with parents regarding progress and recommendations
