A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at a high school location in Watsonville, CA. This full-time, in-person role supports students from kindergarten through 12th grade within a special education setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultative and advisory services regarding speech and language assessment and remediation for students with special education needs.
  • Conduct screenings and detailed evaluations focused on speech, language, articulation, and auditory skills.
  • Collaborate as a member of a multidisciplinary team to contribute to IEP planning and service implementation.
  • Maintain clear communication with staff, families, and community health agencies to monitor student progress.
  • Work directly with children with speech and language impairments to facilitate effective communication supporting their academic and personal growth.
  • Assist in developing language programs tailored to classroom and community environments.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active California Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP - CCC preferred).
  • Experience in pediatric healthcare, teletherapy, school-based settings, or clinical fellowship year (CFY).
  • Knowledgeable in all phases of the special education process, including assessment, evaluation, and IEP development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive, professional relationships with students, families, staff, and partners.
  • Ability to incorporate creativity and lighthearted energy into therapeutic and educational activities.
  • Familiarity with supporting students across the spectrum of disabilities, including early learning and atypical impairments.
