Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Woodbridge, VA

Shape the 2025-2026 school year by making a difference as a Speech Language Pathologist working with elementary students. Starting in August and running through May, this contract role offers the chance to provide individualized speech and language services, supporting students’ communication development and academic success. You’ll collaborate directly with students, families, and staff, offering assessments, therapy, and consultation in a vibrant educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Active VA SLP License required
• Previous school-based experience preferred
• Background in pediatric, school-based, and teletherapy practices
• Commitment to special education students and families
• Expertise in assessment, evaluation, and consultation methods
• Positive, flexible communication skills, including active listening and feedback
• Familiarity with the special education identification process and disability categories
• Collaborative, engaging team member who brings enthusiasm and a sense of fun

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy to elementary students in-person, full-time (Monday through Friday)
• Screen, assess, and evaluate speech, language, and developmental needs for referred students
• Provide consultative support to staff on speech/language concerns and remediation strategies
• Work as a valued member of multidisciplinary teams, contributing to IEP planning and reporting
• Maintain collaborative communication with families, educators, and health agencies
• Support and advise staff with classroom language program development
• Help students achieve academic and personal growth through improved communication
