A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 school year in Yuba City, CA. This full-time, in-person position focuses on providing specialized speech and language assessment and therapy services primarily to elementary students within a school setting. The role supports the district’s mission by evaluating students' communication needs and collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized educational plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments covering speech, language, articulation, and auditory development for students referred for special education.
  • Provide consultative and advisory services to school personnel regarding diagnosis and remediation strategies.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing valuable insights for IEP planning.
  • Maintain clear and ongoing communication with staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student progress.
  • Deliver direct therapy services to children with speech and language impairments, promoting their academic and social growth.
  • Assist educators in designing and implementing effective language programs in classroom and community environments.

Qualifications:

  • Active California Speech Language Pathologist License.
  • Experience and demonstrated commitment to working with students requiring special education services and their families.
  • Training in assessment, evaluation, and consultation techniques.
  • Ability to bring positivity and lightheartedness to the workplace.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships with staff, students, families, and community partners.
  • Knowledge of special education processes, disability categories, and relevant procedures.
  • Effective communication skills, including active listening and appropriate channel use.

Location: Yuba City, California — work onsite with school-aged children.

This is a contract position running through June 2026, with an immediate start available.
