Step into a rewarding contract role as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant for the 2025-2026 school year, serving students from PreK through 12th grade in an itinerant capacity. You’ll provide essential support to a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, delivering individualized interventions and helping students improve their communication and language skills. This full-time, in-person position follows a Monday to Friday schedule, with work across multiple school locations based on student needs from August 13th to May 21st.

Key Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Speech, Language and Hearing or Communication Disorders
  • Experience as a paraprofessional or in a school setting preferred
  • Training or experience in language and/or articulation therapy is a plus
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong communication skills, including active listening and clear, two-way exchanges
  • Positive, adaptable, and collaborative approach to daily tasks

Core Responsibilities:

  • Implement therapy programs designed by the supervising SLP to enhance students’ speech skills
  • Collect case histories, perform observations, and score assessments under the SLP’s guidance
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and therapy professionals to provide meaningful student support
  • Assist in meetings, such as IEP conferences or parent sessions, sharing valuable updates
  • Help prepare documentation, including progress reports and recommendations
  • Support with student transportation to and from therapy settings
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure student success
