Make a meaningful impact by supporting student communication and learning in this Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position for the 2025-2026 school year. In this vital, full-time contract role, you'll work throughout multiple school sites (PreK–12th) in an itinerant, in-person setting, supporting the development and implementation of student-focused speech and language interventions. This position begins August 13th and concludes May 21st, offering a consistent Monday–Friday schedule of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Speech, Language and Hearing or Communication Disorders
  • Previous experience in schools or as a paraprofessional highly preferred
  • Training or experience in language and/or articulation therapy preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills
  • Eagerness to grow professionally and embrace new intervention strategies
  • Positive, collaborative approach to working with diverse students and staff

Core Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized programs under direct supervision of licensed SLPs
  • Administer and score assessments and progress monitoring as directed
  • Collect data, tabulate results, and document observations
  • Assist SLPs during assessments and collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals
  • Attend meetings to provide insight on student goals and progress
  • Assist in preparing required documentation and maintain open communication
  • Safely transport students to and from testing or therapy areas
