Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Language Pathology Assistant | King George, Virginia

Now hiring a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for the 2025-2026 school year! This contract position is based in an itinerant, in-person setting serving PreK–12th grade students. You’ll collaborate with other educational professionals and support student achievement across multiple schools in the region. Start making a difference on August 13th, with the assignment running through May 21st.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Speech, Language and Hearing, or Communication Disorders
• Experience as an SLPA in educational or healthcare environments preferred
• Familiarity with language and/or articulation therapy preferred
• Strong interpersonal and active listening skills
• Eagerness to learn and adopt new techniques
• Positive attitude and collaborative spirit

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver intervention programs designed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
• Collect student case histories, complete observation checklists, and maintain accurate documentation
• Administer or assist with student assessments and progress monitoring tools
• Collaborate with therapists, teachers, parents, and outside professionals to support student growth
• Attend IEP conferences, in-services, and parent meetings to discuss student functional goals
• Prepare and document evaluations, reports, and other communications as needed
• Safely transport students to and from assessment or therapy areas
