Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Mccleary, WA

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a vibrant educational setting. This onsite position serves PreK through 2nd-grade students, including those in a dedicated high-needs program. You'll collaborate closely with a virtual supervising SLP, bringing your skills and compassion directly to students who need them most.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid SLPA licensure and eligibility to practice in the state
• Prior experience in school environments or pediatric therapy strongly preferred
• Foundation in providing therapy, documentation, and support as an SLPA
• Ability to implement treatment plans designed by an SLP and adapt to the needs of students
• Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with young children and educational teams
• Familiarity or willingness to learn remote collaboration technology

Responsibilities:

• Work onsite for 6 hours each school day, supporting around 80 students
• Provide speech-language therapy to PreK–2nd grade students, including those in specialized high-needs classrooms
• Deliver services in accordance with IEP goals under the supervision of a virtual SLP
• Collect data, monitor student progress, and maintain accurate session notes
• Assist with communication, social skills, and language development interventions
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to ensure comprehensive care for each student
• Participate in team meetings and help adapt strategies for student success
