Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) - Oakville, WA

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing skilled therapy services in a supportive educational setting. As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you’ll collaborate with a remote SLP and make a direct impact on students in early elementary grades—ranging from PreK to 2nd—within the high-needs program. This onsite role offers the chance to shape communication skills for a diverse caseload of around 80 students.

Your days will be structured for six hours onsite, giving you the time and resources to build real connections with students and staff while developing your clinical skills. Working closely with a virtual SLP will provide you with guidance and partnership, ensuring each student receives tailored interventions.

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Active SLPA license/certification in good standing
• Previous experience in school or pediatric healthcare settings preferred
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, both in person and with remote team members
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs), therapy documentation, and progress monitoring
• Comfort working with students in high-needs or special education programs
• Compassion, adaptability, and a student-centered mindset

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language support to PreK-2nd grade students, following plans developed by the supervising SLP
• Assist in implementing therapy activities to meet IEP goals
• Document student progress and session details accurately and promptly
• Communicate regularly with the virtual SLP and onsite educational staff
• Support the learning environment through creative, engaging strategies
