Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) - Stafford, VA

Make a meaningful impact supporting students from PreK through 12th grade as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time, contract position features a Monday–Friday schedule (40 hours per week) and offers an in-person, itinerant assignment. You’ll be at the forefront of student progress, travel between multiple locations as student needs evolve, and play an essential role in implementing individualized interventions and comprehensive speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.

Desired Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech, Language and Hearing, or Communication Disorders
• Previous paraprofessional or school-based experience preferred
• Background in language/articulation therapy is a plus
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Resourceful, flexible, and eager to learn new strategies
• Reliable, with an enthusiastic, solution-focused mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out intervention programs created by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
• Gather case histories, complete observations, assist in assessment administration, and tabulate scoring
• Support student progress monitoring and share updates with the team
• Participate in meetings (IEPs, in-services, parent conferences) to provide insight on student progress
• Prepare and organize documentation for evaluations and recommendations
• Assist with student transitions to therapy spaces and help coordinate services as needed
