Step into an exciting opportunity to support students’ communication development across pre-K to 5th grade in a dynamic school-based setting. This contract role runs from August 6, 2025, through June 5, 2026, offering a full-time schedule of 40 hours each week. Your ability as a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) will be integral in guiding a diverse caseload of around 50 students, each with unique communication needs. Start times vary by site (between 7:30 and 7:45 AM), allowing for some flexibility with your daily routine.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field
  • Active SLPA license in California (required)
  • Experience with therapy in school and/or healthcare environments
  • A strong commitment to collaborating within educational teams
  • Ability to organize and document services in alignment with IEP guidelines

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language screenings and assessments to help identify students’ needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
  • Deliver direct SLPA services as aligned with IEP goals, ensuring every student progresses
  • Maintain thorough and compliant documentation for all sessions and student contact
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
