Step into a dynamic educational setting as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, providing essential therapy services to students across PreK–12th grade. This full-time, Monday through Friday contract position is scheduled for the 2025-2026 school year. The role features an itinerant model, meaning you'll support exceptional students at multiple locations as their needs evolve. Onsite work is required, and your day will be guided by a supervising Speech Language Pathologist. Start date is August 13th, concluding May 21st.

Key Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Speech, Language and Hearing, or Communication Disorders
  • Experience as a paraprofessional or within a school setting strongly preferred
  • Training or experience in language and articulation therapy is an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening
  • Eagerness to implement new therapy techniques and collaborate within a team
  • Positive, adaptable attitude and ability to work effectively with diverse individuals

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized interventions crafted by the supervising SLP to boost students’ communication skills
  • Assist in conducting and scoring assessments for review by your supervisor
  • Collect case histories, complete observation checklists, and manage progress monitoring tasks
  • Prepare documentation and support compliance with IEP and progress reporting
  • Consult and communicate with teachers, parents, and outside professionals to ensure robust student support
  • Participate in IEP conferences, parent meetings, and in-service training as needed
  • Safely escort students between classrooms, testing, and therapy spaces
  • Contribute to other duties essential to a well-run program
