Travel Nursing Duties

Travel Nursing Education Requirements

It is required that you have either a certificate or diploma in practical nursing. Those who have an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing can have even better luck finding a position as a travel nurse. All states require that you be certified by passing the National Council Licensure Examination. There is an opportunity to acquire a voluntary certification as well. Beyond the education requirements, traveling nurses should be able to work well with a myriad of different people, as frequent travel will place the nurse in different situations that may be outside of his or her comfort zone. Traveling nurses should know how to work well with others and communicate efficiently.
