Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Gastonia, NC

This contract role offers night shifts (2300-0700, Monday through Friday), with a consistent 8-hour schedule and a weekend rotation every other week. Floating within the regional continuing care network is required, ensuring a dynamic and varied work environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Active LPN license and current BLS certification required
• A minimum of 18 months of previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care/rehab setting
• Proficiency with trach management (refresher provided during orientation), foley care, wound care, dressing changes, IV initiation/management, and tube feedings
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing systems preferred
• Adaptability to float within the designated rehab region as needed
• Ability to manage patient caseloads in alignment with facility ratios (LPN: 1:26 during night shifts)
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between associated facilities when required

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from stroke, amputations, joint replacements, and neurological disorders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing leadership, therapies, and case management
• Provide expert monitoring, intervention, and documentation utilizing facility systems
• Support daily patient care activities, medication administration, admissions (1-2 per shift), and coordinate with team members for excellent patient outcomes
• Adhere to facility guidelines for holiday and weekend rotations, and comply with floating requirements
