Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Kings Mountain, NC

This is a contract opportunity for Licensed Practical Nurses in a continuing care setting, working primarily with short-term and long-term rehabilitation patients in a 120-bed skilled nursing facility.

Schedule/Hours:

• 8-hour night shifts, 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend rotation
• No on-call or call-back required
• Expect to work 75% of holidays during the contract

Qualifications:

• Active LPN license and BLS certification required
• Minimum 18 months of recent experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care rehab facility
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Ability to float within the region to affiliated SNF facilities as needed; floating during shifts is paid
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from assigned unit

Desired Skills:

• Experience in long-term care: trach management (refreshers available), foley catheter care, wound and dressing changes, IV starts and management, tube feedings
• Proficient with EMR (EPIC), Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents recovering from stroke, joint replacement, amputation, and neurological disorders
• Collaborate with nursing leadership, therapy, and case management teams to ensure coordinated patient care
• Support 1-2 admissions per shift (overseen by admin nurses)
• Maintain effective communication with multidisciplinary teams
• Adhere to departmental policies and regulatory standards
• Wear ceil blue scrubs (LPN) and utilize free parking on site
