Advance your nursing career by providing quality care within a dynamic skilled nursing facility. This contract opportunity offers an engaging environment working with patients who require both short-term and long-term services after illnesses, injuries, or surgical procedures.
Schedule & Hours:
- 8-hour night shifts (11:00 pm – 7:00 am), Monday through Friday
- 40 hours per week
- Every other weekend rotation
- No on-call or call back requirements
- Holiday commitment: travelers work 75% of holidays
Key Qualifications:
- Active LPN license and current BLS certification
- Minimum 18 months experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care rehabilitation setting
- Strong skills in trach management (refresher provided), foley care, wound & dressing management, IV starts and maintenance, and tube feedings
- Previous experience with EPIC, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing systems preferred
- Willingness and flexibility to float within the region’s listed facilities as patient and staffing needs require
- Reliable transportation for potential floating between facilities; paid time traveling between sites
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-centered nursing care to adults with diagnoses such as stroke, post-amputation, neurological disorders, and post-joint replacement
- Utilize clinical expertise to manage diverse patient needs and complex recovery situations
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nursing leadership, therapy, case management, and on-site administrative support
- Assist with daily patient care, medication administration, and documentation in EPIC
- Participate in regular rotational weekends and adhere to agreed holiday schedules
