Licensed Practical Nurse - Newton, North Carolina

Seeking an experienced LPN for a dynamic skilled nursing environment, offering both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care services. This contract opportunity is perfect for professionals passionate about quality patient care and eager to work alongside a supportive interdisciplinary team.

Schedule/Hours

• 8-hour night shifts, 40 hours per week
• 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., Monday through Friday
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No on-call or call-back duties
• Expect to work 75% of holidays

Qualifications & Experience

• Active LPN license with BLS certification
• Minimum 18 months of experience in skilled nursing/long-term care rehab facilities
• Strong clinical skills including trach management (refresher provided), wound care, foley and tube feedings, IV starts and management, dressing changes
• Comfortable with floating between multiple regional facilities within the scope of practice
• EPIC EMR familiarity and experience with Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing systems preferred
• Permanent address must be 50+ miles from work location

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, including those recovering from strokes, amputations, joint replacements, and neurological disorders
• Collaborate effectively with nursing leadership, therapies, case management, and support staff
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, manage IVs, perform wound care, tube feedings, and trach care as needed
• Flexibly float to peer facilities within the established rehab region, with all travel between sites remaining on the clock
• Support admitted patients; admission volume is approximately 1–2 per day
