Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Shelby, NC

Schedule:

• 8-hour night shifts, Monday through Friday (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 40 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• Expected to work 75% of assigned holidays

Key Qualifications:

• Active LPN license and BLS certification
• Minimum 18 months of experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care rehab setting
• Previous experience with trach management, foley care, wound care, dressing changes, IV therapy, and tube feedings
• Comfortable floating within the region’s five associated facilities, with travel time compensated during shift changes as needed
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver quality, patient-centered nursing care under the guidance of nursing leadership
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapies, case management, and support staff
• Administer medications and manage IVs using Alaris pumps and Omnicell dispensing systems
• Chart patients’ progress and interventions using EPIC EMR
• Participate in patient admissions (approximately 1–2 per day)
• Provide care for patients recovering from strokes, amputations, neurological disorders, and joint replacements
• Maintain flexible support by floating to designated regional locations when required
