Take the next step in your nursing career with an opportunity at a reputable skilled nursing facility providing both short-term and long-term care for patients recovering from illness, injury, surgery, and neurological disorders. This contract role requires flexibility and a strong foundation in LPN practice within a supportive environment committed to patient-centered care.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 8-hour night shifts (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM), Monday through Friday
  • 40 hours per week
  • Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
  • No on-call; no call back requirements
  • Expect to work 75% of holidays

Qualifications:

  • Active LPN license and BLS certification
  • At least 18 months of recent experience in a skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehab facility setting
  • Familiarity with trach management (refresher provided), foley care, wound care and dressing changes, IV starts/management, and tube feedings
  • Ability and willingness to float to all facilities within the Rehab Region (Cleveland Pines, Huntersville Oaks, Jesse Helms, Sardis Oaks, Stanly Manor)
  • Proficient in electronic charting (EPIC), Omnicell med dispensing, and Alaris IV pumps
  • First-time travelers not preferred; must reside at least 50 miles from home unit

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to adults with a range of rehab and recovery needs
  • Manage a patient load consistent with team ratios (LPN: up to 1:26 on nights)
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teammates including nursing leadership, therapists, and case managers
  • Participate in admissions processes (typically 1-2 admissions per day)
  • Float within the region as specified, maintaining high standards of care at each site
