Licensed Practical Nurse - Williamsburg, VA

Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered LPN license in good standing
• Proven experience and proficiency with tracheostomy care
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking abilities
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Up-to-date BLS certification required
• Previous experience in long-term care or a hospital setting is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to patients, including medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living
• Provide specialized tracheostomy care, including suctioning and monitoring, in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and facility guidelines
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
• Educate patients and families about treatments, procedures, and aftercare
• Uphold infection control and safety standards at all times
