Registered Nurse - Catheterization Lab - New Britain, CT

Step into a dynamic clinical environment and provide critical care as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Cath Lab. This contract opportunity offers dedicated professionals the chance to make a tangible impact in cardiac patient care while working alongside a seasoned team.

Schedule/Hours:

• 1 weekend per month
• Weekday call required 4-5 days per pay period (includes weekend requirement)
• Call hours: End of shift to 07:30 Monday-Friday, as scheduled
• Weekend call: End of shift Friday through 07:30 Monday

Qualifications:

• Current, active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab nursing experience
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Proficiency in cardiac patient monitoring, procedural assistance, and rapid-response protocols
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Experience with interventional cardiac procedures highly preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care throughout the cardiac catheterization process, from pre-procedural preparation to post-procedural monitoring
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, technologists, and ancillary staff
• Monitor cardiac and vital data, and respond promptly to emergencies or complications
• Educate and support patients and their families regarding procedures, recovery, and ongoing care
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety and compliance regulations
• Rotate on-call coverage as outlined to ensure 24/7 availability for emergent cases

$2,299 - $2,432/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
