An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in a Cath Lab setting. This contract position is ideal for professionals passionate about cardiovascular nursing and skilled in high-acuity environments. The schedule offers a structured call rotation and integrated weekend coverage, ensuring both professional challenge and work-life balance.
Schedule/Hours:
- 1 weekend per month required
- Weekday call coverage 4-5 days per pay period (including weekend within this total)
- Call shifts: End of regular shift to 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday, as assigned
- Weekend call: End of shift Friday through 7:30 AM Monday
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Recent experience in a Cath Lab setting required
- Advanced knowledge of cardiac procedures, monitoring, and post-procedure care
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergent situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventions
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures
- Operate specialized Cath Lab equipment with precision and care
- Administer medications and provide sedation as appropriate
- Coordinate effectively with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and timely
- Follow strict protocols for infection control and safety
- Participate in on-call rotations as scheduled
