Registered Nurse - Catheterization Lab in West Hartford, CT

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with experience in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory nursing. This role is ideal for someone passionate about cardiac patient care, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is adaptable to a dynamic schedule.

Schedule/Hours:

• 1 weekend per month required
• Weekday call: 4-5 days per pay period (weekend included in total)
• Call requirement: End of shift to 7:30 AM Monday-Friday, as scheduled
• Weekend call: End of shift Friday to 7:30 AM Monday

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Current and active RN license
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac procedures and interventions
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
• Strong critical thinking skills and quick decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to remain composed and focused during high-pressure situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related procedures
• Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after procedures
• Aid physicians in interventional cardiology procedures and ensure optimal patient safety
• Administer medications, intravenous therapy, and other prescribed treatments in accordance with protocols
• Employ effective communication with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Maintain accurate, comprehensive documentation and uphold compliance standards
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide high quality, compassionate care

$2,299 - $2,432/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
