Registered Nurse - Endoscopy (RN) | Asheville, North Carolina

Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Endoscopy or GI Lab nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Familiarity with conscious sedation, pre-procedural and post-procedural care.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative healthcare team.
• Experience assisting physicians during GI and endoscopic procedures is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, conduct pre-procedural assessments, and educate them regarding the process.
• Provide hands-on nursing care throughout diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Assist physicians during procedures, monitor vitals, and respond to any emergent situations.
• Administer medications and conscious sedation as needed, following protocols and safety procedures.
• Monitor patients in recovery, deliver post-procedure care instructions, and document all interventions.
• Maintain and ensure proper operation of endoscopy equipment, following infection control and sterilization guidelines.
• Collaborate with the GI team to facilitate seamless patient experiences and optimize outcomes.

$2,057 - $2,176/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
