Schedule/Hours:
- Variable shifts
- 4 weeknight calls and 3 weekend calls within each 6-week schedule period
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of one year experience in Endoscopy/GI Lab required
- Demonstrated knowledge and competency in endoscopic procedures, patient monitoring, and emergency interventions
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or willing to obtain prior to start)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure care for patients undergoing endoscopic and GI procedures
- Monitor and assess patient status, implement physician orders, and document care with accuracy
- Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies for endoscopy procedures, maintaining a sterile field and compliance with infection control standards
- Respond rapidly and effectively to emergent situations
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, post-procedural care, and follow-up instructions
- Participate in on-call rotation per schedule requirements
