Registered Nurse - Endoscopy (RN) | Elmira, New York

Schedule:

• 5x8 hour shifts, daytime schedule

Qualifications:

• Current NYS Registered Nurse licensure, limited permit, or eligibility required
• Background in Endoscopy or GI Lab nursing strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
• Awareness of and adherence to legal and ethical standards in patient care
• Physical capability for frequent lifting, moving, and positioning of patients
• Category I position: comfort working with exposure to blood and bodily fluids

Core Responsibilities:

• Systematically collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine individualized care plans
• Implement nursing care skillfully and consistently for assigned patient groups within the Endoscopy/GI unit
• Maintain thorough, timely, and accurate clinical documentation
• Respond effectively to emergency situations in accordance with established protocols
• Actively participate in ongoing professional development and departmental training
• Advocate for patients’ rights and maintain ethical conduct at all times
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Stay informed of current best practices and integrate nursing research into patient care when applicable
• Prioritize and adapt to changing patient needs and available resources
