Schedule/Hours:
- Variable shifts with on-call responsibilities: 4 weeknight calls and 3 weekend calls included within each 6-week rotation
Key Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- At least one year of recent experience in Endoscopy or GI Lab as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated ability to respond to urgent/endoscopic care situations
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Previous experience with on-call responsibilities preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic and GI procedures
- Monitor and assess patient responses throughout pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams
- Provide patient education regarding procedures, post-procedural care, and recovery expectations
- Maintain strict adherence to infection prevention and patient safety protocols
- Participate in call rotations and respond promptly to emergent procedural needs
