Registered Nurse - Endoscopy - Horseheads, NY

Seeking an experienced RN with Endoscopy/GI Lab skills for a contract assignment. This role involves caring for a diverse patient group using a holistic, evidence-based approach in a supportive healthcare setting.

Schedule:

• 5x8 hour shifts
• Day shift

Key Qualifications:

• Valid NYS RN license, limited permit, or eligibility required
• Proven experience in Endoscopy or GI Lab settings
• Strong assessment, analytical, and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Core Responsibilities:

• Complete ongoing patient assessments focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive needs
• Develop, implement, and evaluate a goal-directed plan of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide therapeutic interventions
• Perform and document patient care accurately and promptly
• Identify and manage emergency situations following established protocols
• Ensure compliance with hospital standards, policies, and legal practices
• Participate in unit and departmental staff development activities
• Provide care sensitive to the unique needs and rights of patients and their families
• Maintain awareness of current best practices and integrate research into care as appropriate
• Prioritize patient care needs and utilize available resources efficiently
• Deliver age-appropriate care and promote a positive experience for patients and families

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent walking, standing, lifting, and moving of patients
• Flexibility to assist with various tasks around the unit
• Exposure to blood or body fluids requires adherence to safety protocols
