This travel nursing position is tailored for experienced RN professionals with a background in Medical-Surgical Oncology. Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time, variable shifts available depending on facility needs
Qualifications/Experience:
- Active RN license, eligible in South Dakota
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Medical-Surgical Oncology
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Oncology Nursing Certification (preferred)
- Strong IV skills, patient assessment, and clinical documentation skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to new environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate nursing care to oncology patients on a Medical-Surgical unit
- Administer chemotherapy under protocol
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and the broader care team
- Educate patients and family members on disease management and treatments
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation
