An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced RN specializing in Med Surg Oncology to take on a contract role supporting adult oncology patients. This assignment is designed for those passionate about delivering outstanding care while working in a collaborative clinical environment.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time, 13-week contract assignment
  • 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Shifts available: 3x12s or 4x12s, Days or Nights
  • No on call, weekends, or holidays required

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license (BSN preferred)
  • BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
  • Current Florida RN license or compact state RN license accepted
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg Oncology experience strongly preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience a plus

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to oncology and medical-surgical patients
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Administer medications, chemotherapy, monitor patient responses, and assess for side effects or complications
  • Provide ongoing patient education and emotional support to patients and families
  • Utilize critical thinking and advanced oncology nursing knowledge to respond to rapidly changing patient conditions
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient assessments, care provided, and responses in the electronic medical record
