An exciting opportunity awaits skilled nurses with experience in Med Surg Oncology care. This contract position involves delivering high-quality patient-centered care to adults undergoing cancer treatment in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 13-week contract assignment
  • 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Choice of 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
  • Days or Nights available
  • No on-call requirements
  • Weekends and holidays not required

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license required; BSN preferred
  • BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
  • Kentucky State RN License or compact license accepted
  • At least 2 years of recent Med Surg/Oncology RN experience preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive, vigilant care to adult oncology and medical-surgical patients
  • Administer chemotherapy, medications, and IV therapies according to physician orders and best practice protocols
  • Monitor patient progress closely, identifying and reporting any changes in condition
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams to create and implement personalized care plans
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and symptom management
  • Ensure meticulous documentation and compliance with all regulatory policies and procedures
  • Maintain a compassionate and professional approach in a fast-paced clinical setting
