An exciting opportunity awaits skilled nurses with experience in Med Surg Oncology care. This contract position involves delivering high-quality patient-centered care to adults undergoing cancer treatment in a dynamic, supportive environment.
Schedule:
- Full-time, 13-week contract assignment
- 36 or 48 hours per week
- Choice of 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
- Days or Nights available
- No on-call requirements
- Weekends and holidays not required
Qualifications:
- Active RN license required; BSN preferred
- BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
- Kentucky State RN License or compact license accepted
- At least 2 years of recent Med Surg/Oncology RN experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, vigilant care to adult oncology and medical-surgical patients
- Administer chemotherapy, medications, and IV therapies according to physician orders and best practice protocols
- Monitor patient progress closely, identifying and reporting any changes in condition
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams to create and implement personalized care plans
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and symptom management
- Ensure meticulous documentation and compliance with all regulatory policies and procedures
- Maintain a compassionate and professional approach in a fast-paced clinical setting
