A skilled and compassionate registered nurse is needed for a full-time contract role specializing in medical-surgical oncology nursing. The successful candidate will take on key leadership responsibilities, ensuring optimal implementation of nursing practice and operations. As a nurse manager, you will be accountable for operations, staff development, and the highest standards of patient care within a dynamic environment.

Schedule:

  • 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
  • Shift: 6:30 am – 4:30 pm
  • Full-time contract

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
  • Active RN License in NM or compact state
  • BLS certification (AHA only)
  • Strong background in MS Oncology and Oncology nursing
  • Prior leadership or nurse management experience preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee daily unit operations, and maintain 24/7 accountability for patient care quality and nursing standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with medical teams, hospital leadership, Human Resources, and other departments to resolve concerns and ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Participate in the creation and execution of department goals and initiatives aligned with hospital policies.
  • Direct and manage staff assignments; oversee professional development, performance evaluations, and recruitment processes.
  • Serve as an advocate for patients and families, maintaining patient rights, safety, and satisfaction.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to accreditation requirements.
  • Facilitate regular communication among team members; contribute to process improvements and emergency preparedness plans.
  • Oversee resource utilization, budgeting, and supply management within the unit.

$60,500 - $64,000/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
