(RN) Registered Nurse - Oncology | Millbrook, Alabama

Advance your nursing career by supporting patients in a specialized oncology setting. A Medical-Surgical Oncology RN is needed for a 13-week contract assignment, offering the opportunity to make a positive impact through compassionate, evidence-based care.

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time, 13-week assignment
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Flexible shifts: 3x12’s or 4x12’s, with days or nights available
• No on-call requirements
• Weekends and holidays off

Qualifications:

• Current RN license required; BSN preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Kentucky state RN license or compact state eligibility
• At least 2 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably with previous travel assignments
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Background in medical-surgical and oncology settings highly valued

Position Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered care to oncology and medical-surgical populations
• Monitor and document patient progress, administer prescribed medications, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary team members
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, and symptom management strategies
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
