A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Med Surg Oncology RN who is passionate about delivering exceptional care to oncology patients. This contract role focuses on providing comprehensive nursing in a dynamic medical-surgical oncology setting, requiring both clinical expertise and compassionate patient interaction.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 13-week contract assignment
  • 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Shift options: 3x12 hour or 4x12 hour shifts, both days and nights available
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Weekends and holidays are not required

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license; BSN is preferred
  • BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications are required
  • Must hold or be eligible for a compact RN license
  • A minimum of 2+ years of Med Surg/Oncology experience is preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care for individuals undergoing oncology treatments and medical-surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
  • Monitor and document patient condition, treatment, and response, ensuring consistent communication with physicians and family members
  • Administer prescribed medications and manage IV infusions following safety protocols
  • Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment options, and post-discharge care
  • Uphold the highest standards of quality, safety, and compassion throughout patient interactions
