Registered Nurse - Oncology in Montgomery, AL

Schedule:

• Full-time, 13-week contract assignment
• Choose from 36 or 48 hours per week
• Flexible shifts: 3x12's or 4x12's; Days or Nights available
• No on-call requirement
• Occasional weekends and holidays

Desired Qualifications:

• Active RN license; BSN preferred
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
• Eligible for a compact license
• At least 2+ years’ experience in a med-surg oncology setting strongly preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients, emphasizing safety, empathy, and evidence-based practice
• Monitor and assess patient progress, reporting any changes to the interdisciplinary care team
• Administer chemotherapy and other oncology-specific treatments as appropriate
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, case managers, and allied health personnel
• Document all care activities thoroughly and accurately
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, medication regimens, and care plans
