Chemo (RN) Registered Nurse - Oncology | Mount Lemmon, Arizona

Specialized nursing professionals skilled in Medical-Surgical Oncology are needed for a 13-week contract position. This role focuses on providing high-quality care to oncology patients and administering chemotherapy in a dynamic clinical environment. An Arizona or compact nursing license is required, with immediate availability preferred. Candidates must be comfortable with chemotherapy administration; a chemo certification is not required, but hands-on experience in a similar setting is essential.

Schedule:

• Five 8-hour shifts weekly
• 40 hours guaranteed per week

Qualifications:

• Active RN license valid in Arizona or compact state
• Demonstrated experience administering chemotherapy
• Background in Medical-Surgical Oncology
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with acute patient needs
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills
• BLS certification (current)

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care to oncology patients, including medication administration and chemotherapy
• Monitor, assess, and document patient responses to treatments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment, symptom management, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records according to facility protocols
• Respond to patient needs and changes in condition with professionalism and clinical expertise
• Adhere to best practices and safety guidelines specific to oncology care
