(RN) Registered Nurse - Oncology - Prattville, Alabama

Seeking an experienced Med Surg Oncology RN for a contract opportunity. This role involves providing expert nursing care to oncology patients, ensuring high standards of patient safety and support throughout treatment. The assignment is designed for dedicated professionals passionate about patient-centered care in acute or chronic oncology settings.

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time, 13-week assignment
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Choice of 3x12-hour or 4x12-hour shifts
• Day and night shifts available
• No on-call duties
• No required weekends or holiday shifts

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license; BSN preferred
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
• Active state nursing license or compact license accepted
• At least 2 years of recent med surg oncology experience strongly preferred
• Previous travel nurse experience is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized and compassionate care to oncology patients in a med-surg acute care setting
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, and assess treatment effectiveness
• Provide support and education to patients and families regarding care plans and procedures
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation according to standards and policy
